About the Organisation

Motivation:

In 2018 Alison visited the restorative cities of Hull and Leeds to understand better how restorative principles are applied.  She was persuaded that there was an opportunity to incorporate restorative practices into the work being undertaken by Relationships Australia in the ACT and region. Alison is also a member of the Restorative Practice Network in Canberra and believes that restorative approaches have the capacity to realise a deeper and more sustainable outcome for families at times of change and vulnerability.

Brings to the Discussion:

Relationships Australia (ACT) is on a journey to develop an understanding of how Restorative Practice is able to support the families that it serves.

Additional Information:

All staff will receive training in restorative principles this year, and we have already embarked on a number of restorative approaches in our work over the past twelve months.  This is a work in progress!
