About the Practitioner
Gabrielle began her journey in Restorative Practice 15 years ago after meeting Terry O'Connell. She discovered that Restorative Practice resonated with her approach in her counselling work with students.
Five years later, she left the Education Department and established Restorative Practice WA.
Gabrielle is a trained psychologist and has worked in schools for 40 years using a strengths focus which empowers students to develop their own problem solving capacity and encourages them to work on their own strengths to develop a solutions focused approach.
Ideally Gabrielle prefers to be invited into schools to work in a whole of school approach with students, teachers and parents. She believes that involving the whole school in the Restorative Practice Journey gives the best results. Gabrielle also encourages the schools to maintain an ongoing relationship with Restorative Practices WA.
